Andrew and Clare's Wedding

Last weekend, my cousin Andrew and his girlfriend Clare got married at the Methodist Church on the outskirts of Birmingham. This was the first time I had been to a wedding as an adult. After the ceremony, we went into the other room of the church, where they had tea and cakes before we went off to the Hogarth Hotel for dinner, a party and a buffet.

Here's a couple of pre-wedding photos of me:

And here's 2 of me with my other cousin Lauren. On the second photo, my aunt is with us.

And this is the favor bag I got. It contained heart-shaped shortbread biscuits.

There were also a couple of wedding photographers too. Check out their Facebook page

Sport Relief 2014

Here's what I bought in Maidenhead yesterday. Sport Relief sportswear from Sainsbury's and a takeaway coffee from Starbucks. I'll be sponsored at the gym on the day of Sport Relief 2014.

2013 Art

Since we're nearing the end of 2013, here's a recap of my deviantART submissions released this year..

Fanart of Patrick Star from SpongeBob Squarepants. This was really used in the show, in the episode "Survival of the Idiots". Here's a clip of it.

On February 8, 2013, Wreck-it Ralph was released theatrically in the UK. I went to see it on a college trip on the day of its release and I really enjoyed it. It's everything a film about video games should be. I made this in Computer Club 4 days before seeing the film and took a printed copy with me on the trip. I'm holding said copy in this group photo.
This is the Japanese version, from my Facebook page

I made this on Valentine's Day for Bethany, roughly a month or so before we sadly broke up, depicting 2 teddy bears in love, the Love Bears. Notice the girl bear has open boobs? Kids would probably ask their parents embarrassing questions about it!

Monita, the robot host of Nintendo Land for the Wii-U. I have to say, this is an amazingly accurate drawing.

The Easter Bunny conversing with an Easter chick. This was done for a college art project for giftwrap patterns. This is possibly the first Easter deviation not to feature Tamagos (those Easter Egg-things with eyes). Originally, the Easter chick was going to be full-bodied, but I thought it would be quicker to make the chick look like an Angry Bird.

My first try at drawing an attractive couple in bed. Before I put things like this on deviantART, I have to search for deviations with the same premise to see if it's appropriate for the website. Porn isn't allowed on deviantART. Thankfully, a bit of partial nudity is OK. Read its description on deviantART.

I haven't really drawn a mermaid before, but here's my attempt at putting Leah in the shoes of one. Very loosely based on Disney's The Little Mermaid.

In the summertime, I wondered what any form of life on planet Mercury would be like. So I came up with these alien designs. They can withstand extreme heat and have flames for tongues. Don't they remind you of Invader Zim somewhat?

Ever fancy a ride on the World's Smallest Horse? Don't worry, he's strong enough to take your weight! Here we have an old cowboy riding him. Yee-haw! Inspired by Hyracotherium, the world's first horse, which was smaller than a cat!

This is an idea for a boss in a video game. A dead little boy named Timmy possessed by an Eldritch Abomination called S'juik (have a guess at how that's pronounced!). Would make an ideal Earthbound-style boss, though the 3-legged form seems like something out of Pikmin.

This year, I am 22. Much earlier in the year, Taylor Swift released a song about being 22, which just so happened to be called "22". When I became aware of this, I decided it would be appropriate to put the song on during my birthday, so I did just that on my brand new Windows Phone. And that's why I've drawn Taylor in this deviation. I must say, it was a pain to get her to look right, but it's a good try, don't you think?

This is Smiley. He is the villain of a slasher movie from 2012, which is also called "Smiley". The movie isn't that great, due to similarities to the Scream franchise, but they did a good job making the killer look terrifying. I'd give you a link showing you what the real Smiley looks like, but I won't because some of you might be too afraid to look.

In the UK, there are more people getting killed by knives than people getting shot. That's because in the UK, gun crime seems to be at its worst in black communities. The Metropolitan Police try to raise awareness of this exclusively in these communities. These 2 chavs (essentially uncouth teenagers) are having a sword fight, only with kitchen knives. This would probably never happen in real life. A knife can easily get knocked out of your hand. One of the consequences of knife crime is that you could be the one who gets stabbed, should you carry a knife. Not just one of these boys' mothers will lose a son, both will. The killer would end up in jail for life.

At the age of 95, South African president Nelson Mandela died on December 5. This was my first ever deviation made in memory of someone.

And finally, here's my Christmas upload, highlighting how easy it is to catch a cold in the wintertime. I have to say, I actually got a bit of a cold a day after I first uploaded this. This could be a reference to a WarioWare microgame, where you have to mash the A button to make a girl sniff a blue snot drop back into her nose. Snot looks less disgusting when it's blue.

And that wraps it up for this year. Sorry I haven't uploaded many videos to YouTube. This was my last year at college and my first year at work, so I was pretty busy. Merry Christmas!

Housing Solutions

Today was my first day of my trainee-ship at Housing Solutions, a leading provider of affordable homes in the south east of England. I'll be working 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) as a data manager, 9 'til 5. What a way to make a living, eh? My first day went very well and I worked pretty hard. My day shorter than what is yet to come because there was a meeting going on upstairs. I'd show you what I wore to work, but I don't have a photo of it at the moment, so maybe I will post it in an update. Here's their website: http://www.housingsolutions.co.uk/

I can laugh without smiling

Sounds too good (or should I say "strange") to be true, but it really is true. Watch for yourself.
